The Canadian region of the Maritimes is well-known for its summer festivals! Are you looking for some fun this summer. Here are some of the biggest and brightest summer festivals in Canada’s maritime region.

Lobster Festival

The Lobster Festival will take place from 1 to 9 July in Shediak, the capital of lobsters. At the festival, you can enjoy the best lobsters and lobsters in Maritimes and music and entertainment. The region allocates a yearly week to celebrate this delicacy, so we recommend visiting the festival.

AREA 506 FEST

AREA 506 Fest one of the biggest maritime music festivals happens along the Saint John Waterfront over the New Brunswick Day long weekend (first Monday of August).  The Area 506 Waterfront Container Village creates a backdrop for a diverse group of vendors, brands and cultural groups to truly showcase the energy and ingenuity of our province’s artisans, craftspeople, and musicians. FYI: 506 is the telephone area code for the province of New Brunswick.

And if you get tired of dancing until you drop, you can go to the luxurious casino New Brunswick Hotel & Casino Moncton and try your luck there. Or you can try your luck, from the comfort of your hotel room at real online slots

Festival Royal

Edmunston will host an incredible event for all music lovers on August 4th and 5th. You'll love this event if you've been missing Foire Brayonne, which ended in 2020. This is a brand new electronic music festival, where the most famous artists will perform!

Festival Western

Can't make it to the Calgary Stampede this year? From July 11 to July 16, another exciting event will take place - the Western Cowboy Festival in Saint-Quentin, New Brunswick.  Love saloons, concerts, and rodeos; this is the place for you.

Le Festival acadien de Caraquet

The Festival acadien de Caraquet has been celebrating Acadian culture since 1963. In the first two weeks of August, Caraquet celebrates song, music and poetry. Indoor and outdoor shows, the blessing of fishing boats decorated with pennants, film screenings, a large fireworks display and animated events for children are held in some 20 different places. The culminating point is the big, noisy and colourful Tintamarre of August 15, National Acadian Day. In addition to delighting its many visitors, the Festival acadien de Caraquet greatly contributes to developing and spreading Acadia’s cultural influence.

Fundy Sea Shanty Festival, st. Martins

There are even such unusual events in the fishing village of St. Martins in Canada. This is the only festival dedicated to Canada's maritime heritage. Seminars and historical presentations are held in old shacks. And in the village, there will be a tasting of the best rum in a real pirate camp!

New Brunswick Fisheries and Aquaculture Festival

Many fishermen are in New Brunswick, so the Aquaculture and Fishing Festival is hugely popular. This year the event will take place from July 8 to 16. At the event, you will find a parade of colorful fishing boats, concerts, and performances by artists, as well as tasting delicious fresh seafood. The same festival program is still being prepared, but you will like it there.

Do you love culture? Then you must visit the annual ballet by the ocean in Grand Diga! Some of the best ballet dancers in Canada will be dancing this year. The stunning coastline of Acadia, incredible ballet, and delicious food will make the festival unforgettable. It happens twice: from July 5 to 29 and from September 2 to 23. Those who have already visited this event call it a feast for all the senses!

Adrenaline Bike Festival

We suggest visiting the Adrenaline Bike Festival for lovers of outdoor activities and cycling. It will take place in a mountain bike park in Atlantic Canada.

The festival is scheduled for July 29-30; a busy weekend awaits you! The program includes speed bike rides, bike rodeos, cross-country races, and pump track trials. For the most extreme cyclists, competitions in the high-speed crossing of the pond are offered.
